| Murano Glass |

| Glass making began in Venice many centuries ago. The Venitian glass beads I use are individually hand made by 'Artisans' in Murano by melting coloured rods of glass under flame and adding silver or gold leaf before pressing them into shapes with hand moulds, or by a glass blowing technique for very light weight see-through beads. |

| Each bead is slightly different and therefore unique - which makes them so interesting. |
